The Helumoa Playground features two fresh water swimming pools, a 15-foot high by 70-foot long water slide, a staging area for outdoor functions, two large whirlpools with sweeping views of Waikiki Beach, an interactive fountain area for kids, fun and creative food and beverage, 10 cabanas, chaise water sunning benches, and a pool hut where guests may borrow towels and purchase pool goods including sun products, inflatable floatation devices and toys. 

Beyond the Sheraton Waikiki’s main pool lies an intimate stretch of sandy beach.  During low tide, guests and families may sunbathe on the sand and enjoy the gentle saltwater waves.  High tide however, brings waves over the beach area fronting the hotel and guests are recommended to walk over to adjacent beach areas a few steps away.

GENERAL SEASONAL SURF CONDITIONS
The summer months bring bigger surf to Waikiki. The water is usually calm and the surf ranges from 1-3 ft. There are occasional 4-6 ft swells. The winter months bring very calm conditions, and the surf is usually smaller; usually not rising above 2ft. Please check all surf conditions with the Waikiki Beach Lifeguards should you have any questions.

Pool attendants are available from 9 am-5 pm; 8 am-7 pm for summer hours.

WATER SPORT SERVICES & RENTALS
Waikiki Beach Services operates beach instructions and equipment rentals for hotel guests.  The following services are available:  surf boards and stand-up paddle instructions; outrigger canoe surfrides; rental of surfboards, stand-up boards, boogie boards, snorkels equipment and goggle.  Also sell Helumoa logo t-shirts, flotation devices, sun tan products, Oakley sunglasses, drawstring backpacks and sand pails.  Hours are 8 am to 5 pm daily.  Contact Helumoa Pool Desk at (808)922-4422 ext.71874 for more info.

CAN YOU SEE WHALES?
During winter months and as late as April, it is possible to see whales spouting and breaching. Turtles and dolphins are also spotted in Waikiki daily.
